El Jamón Más Caro

Lou and I welcomed today with a bright and early trip to the park..

When he woke from his nap at 14.00, he was especially drowsy and calm, so we played around with his new Ikea chair and bobby car.

We had a really fun trip into the nearby forest, where Lou was fascinated by the ants and I was not so amused by the mosquitos. Apparently, I welcomed five more mosquitos to feast on my arms and legs. Yum. Forgot to bring my camera this time, but I'm sure we'll go for a little hike again soon.. hopefully this time with mosquito repellant.

After rubbing lavendar oil on my ouchies (apparently lavendar has numbing and healing qualities..), I joined Imke, Ludovic, and Lou on a venture into downtown Sitges. On the drive there, I was able to capture a precious video of Lou babbling away as usual, hehe.
In Sitges, Lou enjoyed a moto ride and a delicious croissant.

I picked up un entrepan de jamón ibérico de bellota (french bread sandwich with 36 month cured ham from free-range acorn fed pigs on the border of Spain and Portugal). Apparently this type of cured ham costs 300€ per kilo. UHHHHH that's insane.
Sitges is the gay capital of Europe, kind of like SF is to the US!

Heading into Barcelona tomorrow at 9am to join Hebels on some touristy adventures, and possibly a little nightlife appreciation. WOOOO

sidenote: mid blog posting, Imke interrupts me to steer my attention out of the window toward the sea, where a whirlpool is causing the clouds to recede and push back away from the sea. It's pretty crazy looking...
